Bauchi NYSC member solicit for support to complete a self-funded Maternity clinic at Sabon Kaura!

A National Youth Service Corps member (NYSC) by name Ugochukwu Glory Ihechiluru has displayed virtues of patriotism, dedication, compassion and selflessness during her service year, is worthy of emulation from fellow corps members and as well as recognition and support from the general public, Bauchi Local Government, Bauchi State Government and Federal Government of Nigeria.

The current serving corps member with a state code number (BA/19B/3811) is an origin of Rivers State who studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rivers State University.

Ms. Ugochukwu put the knowledge of her professional skills aside and trying to solve one of the major problems facing the community where she was deployed.

After thorough consultation and analysis, Ms. Ugochukwu came up with the idea of constructing a maternity clinic in her host community, Sabon Ƙaura in Bauchi Local Government Area of Bauchi State. To God be the glory, now the project is at the level of overhead course. The major challenges left are roofing carcass and if possible flooring and plastering. Therefore, support is needed from the general public, local, state, and federal government for the completion of the project before her passing out which is scheduled on 16th July 2020.

The district head of the community said; Ugochukwu’s selflessness had attracted widespread commendation.

The district head also calls on good inhabitants, local, state, and federal governments to support her in all her future endeavors. He further encouraged other corps members to emulate her selfless and patriotic gesture.

“Whenever you are given an opportunity, put in your best and imbibe the virtue of selflessness. This corps member not only built a maternity clinic for her host community, but she also mentored some young people in the community who worked with her” The district head stated.

On her side, Ms. Ugochukwu urged Nigerians to always tap from potentials of corps members posted to serve in their communities.
