[MUSIC] Lil Baby Connects With Drake for New Song 'Pikachu': Listen

Rapper Lil Baby performs onstage at Streetzfest 2K17 at Lakewood Amphitheatre on Aug. 19, 2017 in Atlanta.

Earlier this month, Lil Baby previewed a collaboration with Drake during Preme's album release party at the Empire Lounge in Atlanta. Snippets found their way onto social media, thanks to Quality Control CEO Pierre "Pee" Thomas. Days later, "Pikachu" came to fruition, premiering on the latest episode of Beats 1's OVO Sound Radio on Friday.
The burgeoning Atlanta rap star looks to be the recipient of Drizzy's latest alley-oop, in an effort to bring his music to the industry's forefront. It's still unclear if "Pikachu" will appear on the 6 God's Scorpion album or the 23-year-old's Harder Than Ever project, which is due out Friday (May 18).
Drake caresses the Wheezy production to reflect on entering his 10th year in rap but still exuding a youthful exuberance about creating music. "Life is amazin', it is what it should be/ Been here for 10 but I feel like a rookie/ I tell her, 'Look up,' 'cause it's snowin' in Tootsie's/ Booked for three years, man you can't even book me/ It's me and Lil Baby, this shit goin' crazy," he rhymes.
Lil Baby injects himself into the track's second verse rapping about his newfound lavish lifestyle but makes sure not to forget his street roots. "I'm gettin' money like I'm from the '80s/ Me and Drake 'bout to drop, man, this shit gon' go crazy/ They know I'm the truth, comin' straight from the basement/ I'm straight as the street, man I come from the pavement," the "Freestyle" MC brashly quips.
Give Lil Baby and Drake's "Pikachu" a listen below.
